Using OneSearch

You can search the library catalog, One Search, from anywhere you have internet access.

Tips for OneSearch

  • Start with keywords, not full questions
  • Try different combinations of your keywords, switching out similar words
    • Note each different combination of words and how many results each yields
  • Don't forget to Sign in for the most accurate results. Use your KansasCOM email and password. (Single sign on, SSO).
  • Try Boolean operators (AND, OR) and quotes
  • Once you have run your search, use the filters on the left side of the screen to narrow your results even further!

Within OneSearch, you can export your citations in the proper format (NLM) and into your citation management software, like RefWorks. You can initiate an interlibrary loan, easily see which articles are peer-reviewed, and save queries so you can rerun the exact same search in the future.
