The BNCE is designed for time-efficient assessment of major cognitive functions typically targeted by other neuropsychological instruments. It is intended for preliminary clinical evaluation of patients with both primarily psychiatric disorders and brain injury, as well as other forms of neurological impairment. The BNCE is purported to be sensitive to manifestations of disorders of visual gnosis, language, praxis, memory, and executive functions.
