The Community Solution Education System Libraries utilize an authentication system called OpenAthens to allow students, faculty and staff at all our affiliate schools to access electronic library resources from anywhere. While OpenAthens is our primary authentication platform, we also maintain a secondary fallback option, EZProxy, to avoid prolonged outages and disruptions to the learning and research experience.
What does this mean for you?
- Community Solution Libraries Shared eResources pages, as well as individual library websites, are set to use OpenAthens.
- When following links from the library catalog, the library's database page, and most links on library webpages, you will only need to enter your school's credentials in order to be connected to the desired book, journal, article, or database.
- In some rare instances you may be prompted to search for your institution; just type in TCS Education System and our institution should appear as a choice. Once chosen you will be directed to the familiar school login page.
- OpenAthens also allows users to login to a website or database that we have a subscription to. More info on how to do that can be found in this guide.
