The three orientation handout documents below provide a general overview of the library, what is on this site and how to use it, as well as a document reviewing the process of "known item searching" using the OneSearch system, and finally a document reviewing the process of using Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to request a PDF copy of an article or a book chapter that we do not have full-text access for.
Executing "Known Item Searching" in the Library
"Known Item Searching" begins with a full citation (from a course syllabus, a database search, a reference list from another article, etc.) and ends with knowledge of if we have full-text access to that item, and if so, through which database(s)/platform(s).
Using Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at Saybrook
When we don't have full-text access to an article or a book chapter (but NOT a whole book, which can NOT be requested through ILL), Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is the process by which you can request a copy of that item.
