What is PowerNotes?

The PowerNotes browser extension allows you to automatically capture text, take notes, and export citations in an outline format, all without ever leaving the article PDF or website you’re currently reading!!

Designed to seamlessly integrate research into writing, PowerNotes helps you easily and efficiently:

  • Capture online source material. PowerNotes allows you to highlight and file away information to one of their custom topics in a project.
  • Annotate online sources while you read: To add a thought to any highlighted text, simply type a note, you don't need to copy/paste in the URL of the site—PowerNotes does this automatically!
  • Organize sources: Highlights, notes, and URLs are saved to custom topics in a project—an organized and accessible way to preserve what you have collected.
  • Download outline and notes: When it's time to write the paper, you can download your project to Word.
