Library Course Readings in Canvas

Adding your own PDFs

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Upload Citation with Attachment.  

3. Click the box under "Add Item Details" and...

4. ...Drag and drop or browse for a file.

5. Confirm the copyright status (or request review from the library). 
6. The title should load automatically, however confirm that the info is correct.
7. "Add" your resource to the your list!

 

Adding web links

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Blank Form.

3. Use the drop down menu under Type and select Website.

4. Enter the name of the website under Title

5. Add the URL for the website under Source.

6. Then click Add. Click on View Online to test access to the website that was just added.

Adding items owned by you (personal reserves)

1. Click the Add Items button with the plus sign.

2. Select Blank Form.

3. Check Personal copy and fill in any other identifying fields you'd like.

4. Click Add to add the citation to your reading list.

 

5. Deliver the item to the library's Access Services desk to be placed on reserve. Please also send an email to reserve@ithaca.edu; we'll process the request once we have the item.
